Hi, newbie from SC here. Avid dirt track racer who has always loved old skool rods... I'm not very familiar with the vernacular so bear with me til i get good enough to be a local yokel...
BTW, i'm on the hunt for a 55-56 merc. What is a fair value for one in complete form but rather rusty?

Well i'm about an hour south of you down augusta road... in greenwood. Are the cars on the track purpose built racecars like legends cars or are the just standard cars with race tires on them?

Below is the info posted on the HAMB calendar:

The Checkered Flag Jalopy Showdown Traditional hot rods and customs on the infield of the track. Track laps, metal shaping demos, swap meet, bands, food, GIANT flame throwing, free camping. 5-9 PM Latimore Valley Fairgrounds Rt. 15 York Springs PA, midway between Harrisburg & Gettysburg PA.

The cars, as far as I know, are mostly just hotrods and don't think that they have race tires on them but whatever info you can't find on the jalopy showdown link above you can PM ScaryLarry, I'm sure he will be glad to answer any of your questions.
