So I just got my 000 Mack in the mail that I ordered right after reading Unkl Ian's FANTASTIC how to hold a striping brush post. Today on my lunch break I went to an Aarons Bros store to get a thing of one shot, turns out it was their corporate office, oops http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Bet I looked stupid. anyways, does anyone know where around the Dallas area I can get a little thing of paint? I'm in Coppell, so the closer to me the better.
Thanks guys

try a local art supply place. Most sign shops have switched to cut vinyl so they'll give you a funny look.If you're ever around Austin, hit Asel Art at the end of Lavaca (where UT begins) they have a good selection and carry metallics (my favorites)....

I think the brush was $10 and $7 or so for shipping, my only complaint is that it took 3 weeks to get here. I'm going to Asen right after work and will see if they have brushes there.

Look in the Yellow Pages under "Sign supplies".
I think N. Glantz has a place in Dallas.
I'm sure there are others.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind, I'm still gonna goto Asel tonight for as small of a container that I can find just because I can't wait to try it. If I'm able to pull a straight line and need to get some more paint thats where I'm gonna go!

Get some 1-Shot High Temperature Reducer as well.

do I just add a little bit of that when its really hot outside?

You use High Temperature Reducer to reduce the paint as your working.
As soon as you taken the lid off the can,the paint is starting to dry,
and will continue to dry as you try and work.
So as you pallet your brush, when it starts getting a little too sticky, you dip the tip of the brush in some High Temperature Reducer, and pallet some more. When your happy, you continue painting.
Depending on the weather, you may have to add more reducer once a minute,or every 5 minutes.
I use a couple plastic medicine cups, about 3-5 cc of paint in one,
less than 1 cc of High Temperature Reducer in the other. That's plenty for what I'm doing.
High Temperature Reducer slows the drying of the paint.
Low Temperature Reducer will make the paint dry quicker, which is good for airbrushing etc.

Another little trick use a sheet metal srew in the lid of the one shot squeeze out what you need and you wont get the skin problems in the paint.

OK, just got back from asel and I got a little can of light blue, they had a crappy selection and I heard to stay away from red, white, and metallics for the first time. They didn't have any reducer, can I just use mineral spirits for the time being?

Yeah, I guess I should have warned you about Asel's prices. I bought my 3 Dagger there and it was $35 WTF? Is that right? I'm happy with it- I went the larger brush so I can very the line width with pressure. Metallics are a bitch to get down but once you do, they sure are purdy!
