I'm wondering about the best radiators for early ford engines (either flat 4 or flat 8). The parameters are price, spare part availability, durability, and reliability. I'm considering running a two-pot setup w/ aluminum heads on an early block for the eight, or a four banger w/ aluminum head. My price range for a radiator would be within 100 dollars at the most. Am I being unrealistic with price?
Thanks for any replies,

I would just go with an original good radiator.
You should be able to find one in that price range. I found two at 100.00 last year for my 37.
What type of vehicle??

I'm not certain- it's probably gonna be on a 32-34 frame, though. Are the stock ones pretty reliable?

yes, at least mine are.
I'm sure if you take a used one, have it cleaned, rodded and repaired if needed you will have alot of miles to use it.

An original radiator will work OK. As long as it's renovated.
The thing to keep your eyes on is airflow managment.
Use an original fan if you can, and keep all tinwork guiding the air thru the radiator. Most important from 35 and upwards.
Finaly: Most of the overheating problems with a flattie comes from wrong timming. So tripple check your timming if you have a boiler ;-)-
