Hi guys,
I was told about this site last night and figured I had to check it out.
A little about me... Im 28 and live in Austin TX. I don't know much on a lot of stuff, but learn quick. Im currently restoring a few classic cars. A 65 Barracuda(273 Commando) and a 69 Mustang coupe (302). Also my dads old 56 F-100. Im planning on building a 33 Ford roadster rat-rod and a 39 Ford hot rod. The 39 will have to wait for some time though.

The 56 has been chopped and dropped, 351W, and Camaro suspension.
The 33 will be no frills, just rust and guts. I plan on building a flathead Ford V8 for it, with aftermarket heads and a 2x2 intake.

Here are a few of the 56. I don't have any of the 33 or the 39 yet. The bandwidth of my site sucks, so hopefully a few can view it.
My site is mainly for my Barracuda which is my 1st restoration.

Thanks Zman and thanks everyone for the welcome.
My garage is not near as cramped as it was in that pic. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif The 56 has been a hard one to work on. My dad built it and it scares me. On all my cars, if I screw it up, no biggy, but that one can't be replaced. I was trying to put a surpentine pully system on it, but the Chevy powersteering pump is a hard one to work around.

texashell_fish would be a good choice... didnt you look at the meber lists when you picked your name?

Might be a good idea to ad the "Texas" or "Austin" to the front of your handle to avoid confusion.

Sorry, I did not. I've been using this same user name on other boards for about 4 years and never thought to see if someone else was using it.

I added a 65 to it. Is that cool?

I know how you feel. My '36 was my Dad's first car. He's having a hard time letting go but at the same time I am trying not to do anything too crazy with it.

What's the story on your '39?

copycat! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Yeah, I've been Hellfish for many years and on many boards, including at least one Mopar, but whatcha gonna do? I don't think anyone will get too confused... unless you move to Chicago and start driving Chevys http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Welcome aboard!

No time to touch it yet. My dad left me 4 of them. 2 coupes and 2 sedans. Im trying to get my cousin to move to Texas from Il. I told him if he took all 4 and made 2, he could have one. Unless that happens, it will be a few years (2 or 3) before I can start on it. I do have plans for it though. I keep an eye out for parts that would be cool. I want to try to use a spitfire flip top gas cap for one.

Im really a cheap skate, so I spend lots of time looking for used parts, but I enjoy the Old school way of build ups. My wifes 69 pony is based on the mid 70's complete with sloted mags http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif No lace paint though http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Stude,
Is this where your hiding out nowdays? I can see why. I spent a lot of time today, during work, reading posts. Wish I found this place sooner.

Yep, I hang out here quite a bit now (whether they like it or not! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif). I have yet to find a better site than this one when it comes to the tech! I still look into MoparStyle, but I don't hardly ever post there anymore. I know Radman is on here, too.

Take the time to go thru as many posts as you can on here. The amount of info is staggering! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

But if he was 'texashell_fish' would that make him an oyster? And would he only be able to post on months ending in 'R'? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
