does anyone out there have or can point me in the direction of some photos or stills of the the coupe and milner...i`ve found all the usual paradise road shots but there must be more......i`m pretty positive that either street rodder or rod and custom did a recent feature on the restored version but i cant find it anywhere

cheers monkey

If that stupid coupe hadn't been in the movie you guys would be tearing it apart and laughing at it. Gotta be one of the ugliest dune buggys ever in my opinion.

its not that bad smokin joe just a couple of things the grilleshell is to short which screws up the look of it. makes it look kinda goofy and the damn cycle fenders and rear fenders need to go. I think with the grille shell fixed though I could deal with the fenders

dude, dont you know?it's a movie prop depicting what was going on in the streets at the time.milner was constantly hassled by the cops for petty things to try and keep him off the road.the narrow fenders were put on just to comply with fender laws at the time.the reason they went with cycle fenders is cuz they were available and they were so small they were like givin the man the bird (like bikers who wear 'beanie' helmets cuz they have to)

Dude, I have a set of bobbed fenders just like those that my dad used to run on his 36 Ford pickup. He didn't have the money to buy good ones so he just cut off all the damage on the bottom and still complied with local law.

it's ungainly, but so what. it was a cool movie, i think, therefore the car is raised several notches. shit, alot of pictures and survivors i've seen look kinda awkward too. i dunno, i like it. movie kinda struck me as a younger man, therefore i dig the milner coupe and was glad to see it http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

yes I know why they are there, but I still think it would look better without them. In fact i still think the fender law is still on the books but its not enforced so much these days.
