Hi my name is Tony. I thought I would intro myself. I am originally from the east coast moved to San Diego 10 years ago. Love it here. Found this site today while surfin around, looks way cool. Attempting my first kustom, its a 54 chevy 2 door. I was into muscle cars but I saw a 50's Merc Kustom at the Temecula Rod Run 3 years ago and said DAMN I got to get me one of those. I'm not that great with a wrench and a welder. I've done most of the grunt work on my ride (gutted it) now I'm looking for a shop to do her right. Anyway thanks for letting me in, this place looks right up my alley. Now Im going to spend a few days reading old posts http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif. Tony

Welcome Tbone. Looks like you have a nice car to start with, which is always a big help. But as you will see on this site a lot of us start with junk. But as you will find as you progress with your custom all the work will be worth it in the end. And you will learn so much along the way from what you do on your car and by asking questions. You can almost get an answer to any question you ask on here. A lot of seriously talented people on here and all of them are only to willing to pass on what they know, or if they don't know what your asking they will help you to find out! Geoff aka Whodaky
