T-85 3 speed transmissions ???

Does anyone here run one or are knowledgeable with them???

As I recall, they are a relative and predecessor of the T-10. Strong enough for most applications, but I can't think of a single reason to go buy one when you could get a Ford T&C three speed that is at least as good, and has synchronized low gear...... Or a four speed..... Or a five speed.....

If it is free, I'd say go for it, but understand that there are better options for not too much money.....

Very hard to find parts for. very heavy, will take much abuse same case as t10.A mid 50 oldsmobile yolk will work to build a drive shaft. has a overdrive unit ava for it I ran one behind a 406 until I went 4 sp. never had a problem. I hope this helps some. Good Luck
