You need to go to the bni/scta web site and keep track of conditions as you have started. The water does not go away fast. It also drains in from everywhere else. It does not have to rain on the course for water to rise. Good luck!

From Landracing.com

This the "OFFICIAL" report on salt conditions as of 4:50 pm Thurs. Aug. 5th, 04. Roy Creel, BNI chairman, was on the salt when he called this afternoon(Thurs. the 5th) and he summed up salt conditions in 3 words
"DRY", "HARD", "SMOOTH"

Here's the BNI/SCTA website

20% chance of precip predicted Sat and 19% Sunday. I wouldn't worry. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

252 cars and 55 bikes already pre registered. Gonna be a busy one.

When it rains; you visit and "bench race."

Then everyone "prays" to the sun gods; and waits for the track to dry. With near "0 %" humidity most of the time, it doesn't take long. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

With Wendover being 108 miles west of SLC, the track (Bonneville) normally is pretty dry.

Over the years of attending (started going in 1964) I can only remember a couple of years that actually were rainned out. Sure there are showers once and a while, but things dried out fairly fast.
