I just had to post this picture from the parking lot of the road rocket show here in Indy for a couple of reasons. Yesterday, I did a burnout in a parking lot in the old caddy and a lady looked at me like I has a punk. And I was, not because I did the burnout, but because there really should have been more smoke involved. It was embarrassing. This is what it should have looked like..
bear in mind this is the parking lot of the Ramada and not a race track. Also note that it is a 1957 Ford Gasser and as you know I just bought an altered wheelbase 57 Ford Gasser...which brings to mind a question...anybody got a fiberglass front clip for one of these for sale? Anybody running a four speed with a hot lincoln 430? Lemme know....AND POST YOUR TASTY BURNOUT PICTURES HERE!!!!

The real point of this was to show that car and to find out who's runnin Lincoln 430's. Please contact me if you are as I have many questions and access to a decent stash of parts if you need something wacky.

Shame on you, burnouts are very dangerous and someone may have gotten hurt. There were little kids in the area and who knows what could have happened.
Or so I was told,,, http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

The guy in the 58 Caddy facing off against the gasser in this shot looked like he was about to shit himself when the ford broke loose. Then he parked and walked inside looking all pissed off at us punks... and he was a young (30s-ish) greaser http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
