I just couldn't wait to share my excitement. Just got it home yesterday and got a great deal on it. Currently certified for 6.00 and slower. Built in the 60's but the trail gets cold in 73 where it was purchased from a pawn shop in Manhattan, Kansas. It's a 165" with a glide and a 57 chev rear. I'm installing a Nailhead with 6 strombergs for now so I can get some seat time this year and will have a Blown/Alky nailhead in the coming months. I will need a 3" idler pulley and 1/2" pitch drive pulleys if anyone has them.

I forgot to mention it is a full body car as well. This was with the BBC last year.
Try Dale Wilch for pullys..Great guy to deal with.

Are you gonna have it running for the Unfinished?I'll bet Glenn and Kathy wouldn't mind it if you made a pass right in front of the fairgrounds. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Now that is exciting news.
Congradulations.

Yeah, I got my tools. Thanks. Then Dale borrowed some at the show and I didn't get them back yet. I figured I would just leave a few tools everywhere I go. I don't know that I will go to unfinished. I went last year and then went to the Cruise at Lew's here in Portland and had a blast. Over 500 cars! But I haven't made up my mind yet. Who's goin to unfinished?

Hey Rocket, I've had enough of that 3 speed! Still gonna put the saginaw in the hot rod so it's a better drive but I won't race it much any more.

I was talking to an old timer up here.
He was telling me that back in the day, he ran Ford 3 speeds in his dragster.
He used to run in a blown gas class with a hemi.
He also said brought extra trannies with him all the time!

Wow, that's pretty cool, or at least it will be with a nailhead. I think ya should bring it to the unfinished also. We should be doing a chop there to, right Shiny?

Ya know, Gene and Gary Adams are putting a new class together for diggers with old engines. No SBCs, BBCs or Hemis, just Ford FEs Nailheads, Kettering Olds and Cads and other weird and obsolete stuff. I can find an adress if you'd like. Let me know.
