I'm going to try this again, maybe I didn't get anyone too interested in me the first time. So here it is.

I'm Jason Russell, from Shreveport Lowsy-ana (yes it sucks but I'm a Texan through and through so that makes me feel better). Call me Russ. I have a '66 F100. I know it's creeping on the edge of y'alls definition of classic, but I'm here anyways. The truck is in pieces again. I had to do it right this time. I'm building a new frame from scratch, going to run either a MII or Dakota suspension up front and a 4 link out back. It's all going to sit on airbags for the ultimate low-down. I'm going to get stockton wheels to build me a set of 17" steelies that I can use my stock '66 dog dishes on. The truck is getting shaved of non important things. I'm a big believer of EFI engines, I'm sure not many of y'all are, but... I'm going to run a Triton V-10 from a superduty F250. So, if anyone else is in the Shreveport area, give me a holler and we'll swap stories, work, whatever, just not wives.

Russ, the '66 truck is nice, just not in the flow of things on here.
Sorry.

Actually, I'm putting a V-10 in it. Besides, I'm fixin to pick up a '62 Fairlane, and possibly a '65 Skylark. Strictly old skool with them though.

It is a little new, not to mention the very modern upgrades, however, if you show lots of pics of the other 2 cars, I think we can forgive you. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Whats up kat,

I'm only a couple hours from you in Hope Arkansas...got a buddy with a green 53 buick that lives down around your area. Welcome to the HAMB lots of great people here. If you would like to hit a killer show August 27-29 in Ft. Smith Arkansas........see you there?

How far's Ft Smith? I'm in between jobs right now, so I'm not sure if I can make it or not. I'll see in the week or two.

You know, for everyone, I may be modernizing my current truck, but it doesn't mean I'm not involved in the old skool stuff. I had a '31 5 window that like an idiot I traded for a POS '56 F100. The bastard lives in south Louisiana. Oh well, stupid me for not inspecting the truck better.

Ft. Smiths about 3 hrs for me so about 4.5 hrs for you. If you don't make it there's going to be another show in Little Rock in October.....and if your ever in our area let me know some burgers and a beer could await you.......or a burger and some beers http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
