Hi!
I just bought a new (to me) 1964 Plymouth Valiant and I am starting to make improvements to her. I will be working on things as needed or as can be afforded basis, but I decided to tackle the exterior with help from a friend immediately. Immediately meaning I have started sanding and primering but I have a feeling it may be mid summer before it's done... :)
So I'm starting to think about paint colors and styles, it's not a very pressing issue, but does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?
I'm thinking two toned and pin striped. My last car was a 1964 Caddy white with ghost flames, beautiful but I want something different. I've been googleing and searching around but with very little success.
Help? :)
Thank you!

Welcome aboard the HAMB!
Look around untill you find a color combo that you like, and ask someone here to photoshop it onto a pic of your car.

I'm going to have to talk to you about that after I finish my Dart. I'd like to build a copy of the old "Golden Chariot" early funny car. I also wouldn't mind having a '63-'66 with a small block stroker as a driver. I love post cars!

Awesome! So Cal looks like the right place to be for both myself and my Valiant! :)
I'll play with photoshop for my colors and toss them up here from time to time for feedback. Unfortunately my electrical went on me yesterday so now I have a more pressing project... I love learning though so I'm not tooooo bummed out.

How's that Valiant coming along. We just picked ours up last week and drove it home to Indiana from San Diego (http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=256642). :)

Hey - that's pretty cool... I'm the guy that sold the Valiant to Lindross.
Nice car - you should lower it!

Welcome to the H.A.M.B. from one SDer to other. Nice looking Valiant, I like black too, maybe we'll bump into each other some time down the road, just look for a black '57 Chevy wagon with whitewalls. Have fun! My first car as a kid was a '61 Chevy Impala 2 dr coupe, it was a sleek and fast ole boy, I sure miss that car.
