I have been trying to find a nice affordable frame but all I can find is this high BS or cool chopper frames that are just too tall for me. Yes I am a little hieght challenged, but I just want to build something that fits me. short and fat. I have looked at doing a 650 yammer bobber also, I checked out Talon custom frames but I have gotten some negative vibes (The Horse). So now I search any ideas or do I start my own frame company?...Danny

Danny, can't you just modify a Sportster frame? That's probably how they did it "BACK IN THE DAY", isn't it?
I'll be callin on you soon for upholstery on El Ranchito...

well Danny boy, I don't know of any companies that are currently building short sporty frames, but it is easy enough to build one yourself. Head on down to the local steel supply company, pick up some 4130 cromo tubing and fab up one yourself! You can use the stock cradle and dropouts. Just make a decent jig to set your angles right, make a plywood form to bend your tubing on, and weld away. A buddy of mine did that on his "Horse" featured chopper and is only in it about 75 bucks. EZ enough...
