Abe Lugo is making me a helluva deal on a pair of 1/4 panels for my 53 stude coupe but they're too big to ship ups. Freight truck costs are pretty steep from California to Omaha but I got a buddy from here going to Crestline California with his pickup. He said he'd be more than happy to bring me my quarters back if he can pick 'em up at Rods West in Crestline, where ever the hell THAT is. 747 Dolphin st, 93555 is the address and Don Waldron is the propieter of the business. He'll be expecting them and will store 'em for me until my buddy shows up the second weekend of November. Is anybody in the L.A. area [Pomona, to be exact] planning a trip to Crestline in the near future? The Stoodie quarters are light and only one thickness of metal[they bolt on the car!] but they're long at almost 5 feet. They're clean and ol' Abe has even wrapped 'em up for shipping. TIA.........

They might be a littel long but try shipping by bus. Just call your local terminal. I forget their size limits.

Elmo....this buddy says the place is in Ridgecrest with a zip of 93555... Maybe I should get a confirmation on that because I don't have a clue where Ridgecrest is...never heard of it but my buddy says Rods West is in that town..

Rocky- I'll be heading 'near' Crestline next Sunday...the 19th...
going thru LA(from Santa Barbara) to Yucca Valley area...
I'll be taking the 10...Crestline looks like an hour or so out of the way...

Let me know which it is for sure...

Snacky6, it's really Ridgecrest. Located comfortably between Mojave and Death Valley (And you thought New Mexico was the "Land of Enchantment") it is unfortunately about 140 miles from I-10. Maybe if they moved the "Snacktoberfest (tm) from Yucca Valley to Ridgecrest? Would that help? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif Wayno

all the little towns around ridgecrest are under that zip, pomona is not really that far from there. less than 2 hours up the 15. if you dont figure something out by next weekend let me know I might be going to the pomona swap meet on the 19th, I could make the drive out there if you pay for gas.
