Botom line, We sold the car.
We have had a great time the last 3 yrs racing in the HA/GR class and have made a lot of freinds. Myself and a couple of other Ram Rods members have new racing ventures to try so we figured it was time to move on. We were proud to have built one of the first 3 cars for the HA/GR class back then known as Hamsters.
We will still be around, wouldn't miss the Hamb drags for nothing.
Oh' The car was sold to a doctor out of Ardmore Ok. Dont know what his plans are surely he will bring it to the Hamb drags.
It's been FUN

Well, crap.

Anyway, we're still hoping to meet some of you guys this year. Maybe we'll yet get to see'er run in person sometime as well.

Hope your next projects go as well as your HAMBster did.

1. my first impression was :(, but, after about 5 seconds of thought, I think it's excellent :D, since that means theres a few more new racers keen enough to put their money where their mouth is and get involved, top stuff to all involved.

2. Thank you for your involvement this far, your pioneering efforts, and enthusiasm has assisted us to get off our butts and make a difference.

3. racing & change, they seem to go hand in hand, so, on that note, all the best in the future with your new ventures, I'm sure whatever your up to, it will be a blast.

Cheers,

Drewfus:)

Say Mr Mac didn't you take a ride in a Jr. Fueler last year? If so is that going to be your next venture? Anyway you guys will be sorely missed.:(Roy

I think Mac has a new ride this year. . . Tell us the details.

Speed Merchants will be going full bore into Top Fuel this year, but we haven't forgot about HA/GR. We worked on the old rail today.

Well if you must know.:)
I teamed up with fellow Ram Rodder Mike Brown to go Jr fuel racing.
Mike has built the entire car over the last year by himself. Mike is also the guy that built our HA/GR chassis,he is a hell of a craftsman.I'm going to include a photo which is almost 2 months old. Alot has been done to the car since then. We are going to run the car on the SouthWest Jr Fuelers Assc based out of texas.
Back in November I attended the Frank Hawley drag racing school in Gainsville Fl. and acquired my super comp license.
So I'm ready to go. The car should be done at the start of summer if everything goes right.
Also I ordered a track T kit from Total Performance that I'm going to build into a bracket racer when I have time to race it. HAHA
Now you know why we dont have the time for the HA/GR car.
I'll keep you guys posted as time goes buy.
Thanks for asking.

Ok, dummy me, I guess I should have looked at your HAMB location, I would have seen that evidently you have moved! So what's the deal with the house? Did you sell your property and everything along with the car?:D
