I have to share...
Lately, I have been truly helping out a few ex-friends w/ thier rides...body work and custom metal fab. Each time I got F#&$%&& up the rear so dry, it hurt. You try to do a great thing and it gets pissed away by greedy Mo-Fo's. I think all of the charma just came back!!!!!
As some of you know, I have been trying to sell the 55 Ford Mild Custom in my garage.
I decided to go out on a limb this week and pull an 'Old Car Trader' magazine and make a few calls on some prospective cars.
If some of you remember, i have been wanting a good Pre-war coupe project...since way back. I got a 41 Coupe, (my beloved dream car) from Ebay, and it turned out to be a Rusty Nightmare/Rip off. Bummed as I was I tried to continue w/ what I had (thus a chopped 50 Ford) and make the best of it.
I got a call out of the blue and a guy, who has a 41 Ford Super Deluxe Opera Coupe was willing to check out my car for a possible deal...well long story short...he wants to deal, and I got another 41' coupe on the way.
This baby is complete, original, COMPLETELY rust free. It has a good running/rebuilt 59AB w/ stock trans and rear. The whole undercarriage is done...and I mean painted, new bushing, new gas tank. New NOS wires are in the car, The dash is complete down to the radio. It runs and drives. The funny thing, the guy was upset because the 41 was (to him) loud as hell and would not drive it much...just tinker and fix things as time progressed. I drove out to look at it, and looked under the car (to expect to see rusty crap) and it was a beautifully cleaned, black undercarriage. If I was on a showroom floor, I would thought I was in a 1941 Ford dealership to buy a new coupe. By the way, the exhaust was brand new...cut off under the seat w/ 12" smittys on the end. It sounds bitchen, and im jumping for joy.
I though I would share...bon voyage to the 55...she is great in every way, runs well like a stallion...she will be missed...
BUT NOT THAT MUCH!!!
Ill post picts when I get the car.
