51 Ford Tail Light question.

Someone posted a tech article a while back about using 51 Ford tail lights in a 53 Chevy bezel. I searched the tech files and every other post I could think of and came up empty. Aw man, my bad. It was a 54 bezel. The 51 tail light is almost a direct fit except it has an arch to it and I forgot how it was flattened out in the post-MIKE http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

You could probably flatten the '51 lenses in an oven, but why do you want to use them? Get a pair of Lee-type lenses for the '54 bezels from Johnny Smith; they're really nice.

I did that post back in Febrary or March. I flattened them out on a belt sander & glued them to red plexi cut to fit the 54 bezels. Click my username & view my posts, You'll find it.
