Anyone here have one? Decent piece of equipment? I'm in dire need of a press & received a sale email from HF advertising the press for $169.99 plus a $10 off coupon on orders over $100. Total of $159.99 normally $249.99. There's an outlet here in Dayton so no shipping cost.

I don't have personal experience, though i've read on other message boards that the 20t is a decent press for the money.
The 12t, however "shakes like a mobile home in a tornado."

I've got the 12 ton press from Harbor Freight and it has done everything I've asked of it. Works real well-MIKE http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I have the 20 ton. No complaints. Ive rebuilt 2-stroke cranks on it and they can be VERY tight.

I was using one today as a matter of fact at a friends, great piece of machinery for the money, no problems whatsoever. Go for it.

I use an old ENCO 20 ton press at my shop. Had it nearly 10 years and beat the ever lovin' shit out of it. Currently held together with a comealong and some shims. We have replaced the bed pins several times and on my third 20 jack. This last time I went to an air over hydraulic jack, best damned money I ever spent on that thing!

What you want to watch out for on these cheap Hframe presses is where the bed is held up by the pins. My bed does not fit tight against the uprights and tends to want to bend the pins. IF the bed was narrower it would not do that and that is the reason why we shim ours tight.
