Fellas,

Besides being self-lubricating & "newer" is there any advatage to using ball joints for tie rods, drag links, etc. vs. the traditional Ford style tapered "pins"?

In the regards to a front end, safety is my main concern BUT, I love the look & want to use the Ford factory "pin" style. Any thoughts?

Thanks.

You can buy all the parts from these guys...

...but I would think most early Ford parts suppliers would stock them.

I have a question about this type of end.

My brother need a longer draglink, I suggested to him to shorten a tierod. He was comparing both and noticed that they use the same parts in the ends, but the spring and cups are arranged differently in the draglink. Will it be OK to shorten the early style tierod for use as a draglink?

Thanks,

Neal
