Anyone have pictures or information on Norm Grabowski's Henway truck? It's been around for years as his shop truck.

<font color="green">You talking about the Chevy/GMC truck? Step-side?

I think I may have some from A Pinhead deal we had and he got that thing striped to the hilt.

Or are you talking about "Boogie til you Puke?"

The FIRST time I saw the Henway was in the early '70s at Street Rod 'Nats in Tulsa....there were three of us (including Unkl Norm) drinking beer, putting the empty cans in the exhaust stacks of the Henway, firing it up and blowing the cans about 50-feet into the air! (Of course, my memory of this event is a little faded...my brother related this story to me after we sobered up!)

Speaking of Boogie Til Ya Puke,A guy gave me a t-shirt some years ago from a DC area band called Root Boy Slim And The Sex Change.Anybody ever hear of 'em or have any music by 'em?I'd like to satisfy my sense of morbid curiosity. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Oh boy! That beer-car blasting exhaust at the Tulsa Nats was something. They wandered through the fairgrounds blowing stacks full of cans up in the air and there were rodders scranbling to deflect them when they came down on or near cars. Those days there was a lot drinking on the grounds and also there were the "Show Us Your Tits" that truck bed riders displayed when passing all our lovely wives and girlfriends in their hot pants, hiphugger jeans, and shelf-cut Tees.

Norm's in very bad shape right now with the big "C". He's decided to go to Mexico for some non medical treatment and has everything up for sale to help pay expenses. He not only need some buyers, but a ton of prayers for his old Hot Rodding buddies

I've got photos of that truck somewhere in the archives. I also faintly remember drinking an extreme amount of beer with a bunch of folks and one guy ending up getting painted up with body paint by a couple of Canadians after he got a bit numb. Standing in that long line for the Saturday night "barbecue" and awards with Tex Smith and his buds was interesting though. We got to hear a few good stories in that time period.

I wish I knew the alternative treatment. I wonder if it involves shooting cannibus THC straight into the tumor, becauce I hear that works sometimes. But I bet its something else. I worry about the guy.

Here's a vintage shot of the Henway...circa 1974? I think this was just prior to moving from California to Arkansas..

Hang in there, Norm. Fond memories of being at your place on Bull Shoals Lake back in Nov. '02. "Northern Kookie" is still runnin' strong - drive it every summer. John
