Yup been Friday here for hours. Got a bunch of stuff I'll put up today. Probably do it in a few posts.
Reddog I am with you on the Midget, maybe even an early Indy big car, or Indy roadster!
First up a model I did of an early A coupe a few years back. Somewhere in this comp is a front shot, but I can't locate at the moment!

OK, here's a model I have been working on this week. It is a present for a friend (Greg who has a body shop) who is 50 this weekend. It started life as one of the big Muscle Machines. This one originally had the injection hanging out the hood. Oh and of course I have made numerous other changes!
Someone one the board recently said that buying diecasts is cheating. Not in my garage, as I modify virtually everything I buy. But diecasts are great for people who don't build models! Geoff aka Whodaky http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v167/whodaky/PANEL2.jpg

Here we go with some pencil drawings. These were not done by me. But by a young guy that drops in here to my garage from time to time. Actually I haven't seen him in a while. He does have a lot of raw talent and I really want to encourage his art and help him develop his sytle.
He traces a lot of stuff and adds his own unique style and alterations to what he may be working on.
The first image is actually a tracing of a Lance Sorchick roadster turned into a 5 window that depicts my coupe.

Ok my last contribution for the week. Sorry to have submitted so much. But I think I have finally got this image posting well and truly worked out. This time some of my striping and a couple shots of myself in action. I photograph most of my work, but seldom do I get shots of myself doing the work. A lot of people photograph you when you are striping and occasionally someone will give you a shot of you at work. I kind of think it is neat to recieve these shots and of course for people to see these shots. Shows people that this stuff is done by a person and not a machine.

Whodaky - I'd made a comment about "diecast being for pussies with orange cars" - maybe that was it? I was kidding, making a joke at Merc50. I actually hold people who seriously modify die casts higher than plastic modelers, that shits hard to work with and even harder to fix if you screw up! I'll be sticking to plastic though. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif Those models look really good. Istarted a new project today...it might be finished by Sunday, so maybe I'll post pics then.

K&R, wasn't having a go ( is not my style) at who ever made the comment on diecast, just expressing my thoughts. I am a plastic modeler at heart just this past few years I haven't had the urge to do serious plastic. But have enjoyed the stuff I have done in diecast.
K&R your model posts have inspired me to shoot images of my models and post them here. Have a lot of stuff to shoot and post, both in palstic and diecast. Further more K&R I really like th style in which you build, keep it up mate! Geoff aka Whodaky
PS may as well post another diecast image. Two Anglia panels in progress. The one on the right is the yellow as seen on my earlier post and the one on the left is the one I am building for myself. Been doing a bunch of work this week but no time to take pix.House is in an uproar;new floors going in,furniture everywhere(mostly in the garage and under the patio roof)can't find the charger for my camera battery,my shop is an even bigger mess than the house,I'm supposed to be going to the MIS show in the morning, meet Shane who's coming up from Dayton Ohio and Joe Sulpy who's coming out from New Jersey, paint a couple cars, and about a gazillion other things. We just got back from my granddaughter's 17th birthday party(how did get to be that old already?).So I guess I'll post a couple of pics, one of which is a work in progress and the picture quality sucks(I shot it in front of my computer screen).

Nice stuff Steel Pheonix. I work as a welder/steel fabricator and we used to have black smiths in our workshop. I always enjoyed working with them and seeing what the could do with metal. Either by hand hammering or on the big power hammers. What you have shown us will definitely be admired and appreciated here. Lets see more
