You lucky Devil!! Wish we could go again, maybe next year as I'm permently retiring this season. (again) The last time the wife and I were able to attend was in 75 and again in 76. Still have the same 50 Merc and 40 Ford coupe that we attended in and still have the "Long Distance" trophies. We had a ball, super folks run the show with super folks participating. Lot of fun events. We never stayed at event HQ, always went to the K O A and "Roughed it". Loved those late nite campfire bull sessions, all BB (Before Billit) when we all built our own cars, helped our buddies build their's and so on and drove them rain or shine. Those were the days. Jim Kilmer and his wife used to pretty much put the event together and made sure it happened, hope he is still around, if so please tell him Dave and Sue from Alaska said Hi!!
