A guy came into my store today looking for some stuff and when I got to talking to him he told me that he was getting ready to build a street rod out of an old T coupe. He told me that the car had a flathead in it right now with 3dueces, edelbrock heads, and he thought it had headers. He told me it also had 32 ford drivetrain under it. He wants to pull everything out change it to late model stuff. So I told him I would help him find the late model stuff he wants so I can get everything else.

I'm going to look at it today. I can't wait. c'mon 5 o'clock...

I would try and get the whole car but I know this guy and that won't happen plus I would rather have the stuff for my model A anyway. I doubt it but I might get lucky and score the stuff cheap. But I doubt it. What is funny about the thing is its been sitting right in the middle of town for the last 8 years or so in the back of a building and I've never known about it. I can't wait I just hope I can get the old stuff. He did tell me that he has a halibrand rearend laying around somewhere to but he can't remember where so Maybe I can get that to but I'm not sure about that he's kind of attached to it when I was talking to him so I don't know about the rearend.

I was working out in the Men's Crisis Center a few months ago when a couple stopped by to ask about my For Sale '39...seems the guy has a '32 Five Window that he bought in high school ('59)...It's got a '57 Olds J-2, Cad/LaSalle box, '40 rear, white roll n' pleats, he's moved three times since high school and always had the car indoors...wants to restore it...How cool is that?

I pm'ed you rash.

MAN THAT FUCKING THING WAS KILLER!!!
It was kind of a pink looking I think it used to be red but I'm not sure. The suspension used to be white and it was updated to juice brakes. The front axle was droped but I don't think it was much more than 2" they split the wishbones, and it had a flatty in it w/ a nice set of edelbrock heads and a 3 duece intake on it with 3 94's still on it. It also had these small scoops on the carburetors I think someone told me they were cal custom stuff but I'm not sure they were missing one of them on the rear carb. They had ran the car without a hood but it still had all the fenders and everything, they still looked pretty nice and straight. The seat was gone but the wood was still in the body it had a chrome fire wall and somebody made a chrome dashboard for it years ago that had old aftermarket gauges and a halfsweep tach in it. they had also chrome plated the moldings around the windows to.

Something else I thought was neat, it had either really faded out chrome pulleys, brakets, and motor mounts or some of the stuff was aluminum.

It had some sort of manual transmittion in it with an early atempt at a hydraulic clutch using two old ass mastercylinders mounted on the firewall. The mastercylinders were really small and kind of teardropped shape. It was still running the model T frame but someone had boxed it and added some stuff to it. I also forgot how tall the top was on the enclosed model T's like that one.

I wish I had the cash and could get him to come off of it I would like to get it and return it to its former glory except I'd change the frame. I just hope I can get his junk that he doesn't want when he streetrods it.
