first ford HELP!!!

I just bought my first ford a 85 150 swb with a 5.0 EFI sounds like Imgoing to need to learn some ford help. I have been into chevy and mopars so bear with another newbie:confused:. People have been telling me that Im going to have problems becouse of the year. I have no idea of what inter changes with what do I stay FI or go carb. will the heads work with a older block? Do I have to stay with a 302 block or can I use a 351 with the fi heads and intake it seems 351 blocks are easier to find here.
