I blame my dad for this obsession. After returning from WWII he spent a lot of time at the local oval watching the midgets run. I think he dragged me out there before I was 6 mos. old. Probably explains the hearing problems my wife swears I have.

I gravitate to early sixties iron - mostly Fords for some reason. I deviated recently to pursue some unexplainable fascination with putting V8s in old Datsuns but I'm back on course now with the purchase of a '63 Falcon 2dr sedan. It was someone's unfinished gasser project. It's a solid car and pretty much a blank canvas.

I've been hanging around the H.A.M.B. for a while now and I've really enjoyed what I've seen and read. I am humbled by the experience and knowledge of the members and only hope that I may participate from time to time with some tidbits of information or advice that would help someone out.

Oh yes Hooper Colorado - .2 square miles, population 123 (I had to look it up - is the town really that small?).

Where did you race stock cars?

I raced in Mosca, at Thunder Valley Speedway last, but also raced in Aztec, NM (Aztec Speedway).
