On the back cover, and also linked below, Eastwood has got this German engineered "Car Tilter", I guess it attaches to the hubs and allows you to tilt the car up to a 90. Looks like a real kick in the pants, what will they come up with next? Take a look....

This and other methods of tilting cars are common at swap meets like Pate Texas. Very cool, very useful and usually too expensive for a home shop. It sure would make it easier to weld in new floor boards! Anybody figured out how to make your own, cheaply?

Duh! Take your beer off the dash BEFORE tilting it! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Radman your killing me!

Sure would make undercoating the Shoebox a breeze. Unfortuantely 1200 clams is more than I would have for something like that, but I bet I'd be popular http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

With my luck I'd remember the beer on the dash but then tilt the car onto my damn cooler!

That horrid man Dave Hill demonstrated tipping his T-bird in an old Custom Rodder magazine with something like that.

This place is funny, building/selling car tilting systems but can't paint them because they "don't have a paint room"... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

an old man I helped out with a littl ebit of body work built a "rotisserie" to make it easier to work on his old mustang. it looked a little bit questionable, but after seeing it in action a couple of times it turned out to be pretty neat....Next time I'm out that way I'll see if I can snap some pics....

I've seen em' for bodies, but never thought it possible to do to a WHOLE vehicle. If I ever win the lottery, I'm buying one and I'm gonna' park my daily on it's side in the drive just to mess with the neighbors.

Can you imagine how fun it would be to lay out dummies pinned under the car for that freakishly real halloween display? Now that be fun http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

this was for the entire car not jsut the body, it clamped onto the radiator support in the front, I can't remember how it hooked up in the back....the engine/tranny weren't in the car, but you could flip it all the way around and work from damn near any angle you wanted.
