I need some opinions, I have a 27 roadster and the engine is a 364 nailhead currently backed by a dynaflow, the idea is to convert it to a th350. Heres the question, I can buy a 40 ford rear from the same guy I bought the engine for $250 its set up for the dynaflow torque tube and so would have to be converted to open drive when I change the tranny, or I have sitting in my garage a 9" rear complete hub to hub and with driveshaft,a 53 merc rear also complete, or a 10bolt gm rear.Just not sure what the best choice is..What do you all think? Should I go with the 40 rear I love that look, or use one of the rears I already have?

i'd prolly go with the ford 9 inch. you already have the driveline to go with it. save money and time!

Thanks, thats what I'm thinking too, the 40 would be nice but after adding up the costs the 9" makes more sense.

i'd also be a little leary of the 40 handling the torque of that 364. plus finding parts if it should break sometime.

love the looks of the banjo but i gotta go with reliability.
