i got my mind stuck trying to figure out what to do for inside door handles in my custom made door/garnish molding if any one can put pics of what is in there car with the type of car the handle is on. late model cars with chrome handles will work also i quicklydrew this late version

hmmmm that looks too small. the panel where the handle would mount has a slight curve to it

Early 60's Mercedes 220S (1962 - 1964 that I know of) had really cool interior door handles that I always thought would be cool to use on something American. They are kind of a sideways key hole shape with a half circle recessed into the door so that the handle is almost flush. The handle and surrounding piece is chrome and would probably look right at home in a custom. This picture sucks, but it's the best I could find on a quick internet search...

Here's a late 50's model. Same idea without the recessed area (which is the part that I think makes it cool). These cars are pretty cheap, and popular to restore, so I would be that someone repops the handles...

If you wind up looking in boneyards and you're not familiar with these, they have early-60's style fins and they're pretty plentiful (and cheap).
