Actually this is a transmission question. If one, for some whacky reason, wanted to use a stock Model A engine and trans with a modern open rear axle what needs to be done to make the output end of the trans "work" with a normal style driveshaft? Can a yoke just be slid into place or are there other sealing and lubrication issues to be dealt with?----Thanks

I'm not sure if the model a tranny can be converted or not. But you could use a model b bellhousing and B or V8 tranny converted to open drive using a tail shaft from a 42-47 or later (?) pick-up tranny. I'm not sure of all the details but I have heard it's been done.
