kinda O/T slot car question

i found this old afx revamatic slot car set in my girl friends parents basement when they were moving last month. it looks preety damn old prob pre 70 or so. i dont know anything about these things i was going to try to slang it on ebay but i dont know whats it worth a few guys i talked to said it may be worth some big bucks to the slot car collecter crowd. any one into these know any thing about it or could link me a site about it???

can you post a picture of it and possibly of the bottom of one of the cars...i may be able to tell you more by seeing that...im not an expert but i used to race slot cars so i know some

Looks very similar to the mid-late '70s stuff I have. Standard HO scale racing stuff back then & is still around today in some places (cars are, anyways). Try searching eBay for Tyco & AFX slot car stuff & that should give you an idea of what its going for. yea i found a bunch of things on ebay but not this actual set. i was just looking thru the instruction book let and the cover is stamped 07-74 so its preety good guess that when it was made eh. i think i may just keep it and buy some cars of ebay and just have some good beer drinking slot car racing sessions. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

if you take a pic of the track ends and it is what mine is i may be interested in it..i have a 4x16foot oval all decorated like a real dirt track...its painted brown and everything....very detailed...i could use the track peices possibly if you did end up wanting to sell it...just a thought...i know this thing was built in the 70's so its a good possability its from the same track
