Last night I backed the t-bucket out of the garage for its first real drive. 60 day permit taped to the windshield, title application papers in my pocket, letter from insurace agent(ever try insuring a car without a VIN# yet?), I was ready.

It was a blast! Definitely made the last 9 months of work worth it! There are things I need to change and improve, but it's on the road. I want to thank the HAMB in its entirety. It seemed that whenever I was stumped, all I had to do was log on, and someone had already provided a solution.

Nobux, its amazing how much work there is,in building a car, from a pile of parts.Seems like its first one problem and then another.I was always lead to believe a T would be a simple car to build,Ive decided there are no simple cars to build,Im building a T,and I know what it takes to get to the point you are---a lot of work!Looks like you pretty much got the hard part done, looks good, congrats. Now enjoy!

Scarliner, I know where you are coming from... I saw my T and thought it would be quick and easier than other things I have built..Man... I underestimated that..The scariest first ride though was when I built my shovel head. I collected parts from swaps and ebay and such for about 6 months. I then had a major bender to put it all together before running it to Reno. I finshed it the day we were to leave. It's maiden voyage was at 60-70 mph... Parts rattling loose, front brake problem...all the little things you fix on a few small shakedown runs...It was white knuckle all they way..But man was it sweet..Nothing like a first ride in something you built...EVILT
