View Full Version : 56 ford disc break swap?

I was wonder if anyone knows of a disc break swap for the front end of a 56 ford car,I just bought a 56 ford 2dr Customline today thats a mild custom,The only thing I want to change is the front breaking system.Can anyone help me out? TIA

I think I was reading somewhere that someone has used Ford Granada spindles?I can't for the life of me remember where I saw it?

Master Power Brake has the COMPLETE kit, hoses,bearings looks like everything. Whoops its 7-8 hundred $.....OLDBEET

fatman uses a reworked granada spindle...and you use granada brakes..........

The granada spindles work. Need to re ream one ball joint hole and turn tie rod end way out. May be use a longer tie rod end. We turned ours out, Worked fine.

I used versailles spindles but it's all the same, make sure to get the correct master cylinder also. you have to ream the lower balljoint hole, on the versailles, not so much.
some shop will still do this for you. you can get away with a 300.00 swap if you do some smart shopping, all the "kit places run about 500-700 bucks. look at the parts lists on these sites
here are some info sites, some people state the wrong years granadas, should be 75-78? not the 80s changeover suspension which I believe came on 79s.
