Who does this truck belong to? (67-72 Chevy)

I really like the stance on this truck. Whose is it? (60's Style maybe??) What did you do to the suspension? What size are the rims & tires?

Not sure whose it is, but looks like a 2" drop up front and 4" drop out back. Newer Chevy Ralley wheels, most likely 15x8s. If I had to guess tire sizes 245 60 15 up front and 275 60 15 out back.

Just what I can gather from the picture and experience.

Do you mean 4" up front and 2" in the back? The rake seems pretty heavy to the front.

Hi Ed,

Yes it was mine.
’67 Chevy 10
Top chopped two inches.
Short bed
15x8 4x4 rallies front and rear (6 lug)
Rear tires a little bigger than the front (sorry don’t remember the sizes)
Two inch springs in front- helped out with the big block
Three inch springs in the rear with inch and a half blocks.

Originally a six cyl three on the tree truck.

I put the 454 dual quad tunnel, Turbo 400, 4.10 posi., blah, blah, blah in it.

Just a basic low buck low thirteen second daily driver, 13.26 at 101 last time out.

Unfortunately I totaled it in the rain about a year ago.

On my birthday.

On the way to work.

Sure do miss it.

I still have the new doors, fenders, rockers, handles, bed sides front and tail gate I never had a chance to put on ‘er.

I may build another.

Someday.

Ah-ha. The top chop was the missing part. Never thought about chopping a late model pickup..

Overall the truck is very subtle, very cool. Think the same look would work on a later model long bed?

I had a 67 that was set up pretty much the same way. 67 was the only one of the 67-72 group that had the small back window and no side light markers. When I did mine I ordered a pair of modified lower A arms from a place called the Drop Shop and cut the front springs, it really screwed the front end geometry up bigtime. Order a pair of dropped spindles, which weren't available at the time I did mine, and do it right. It's easy to build a pair of lowering blocks for the rear trailing arm suspension and use a pair of 72 Chevelle springs, it will give you the "look" and at the same time, keep things above the scrub line. I ended up doing it a little different later on, some of the 72 big block trucks came with rear leaf springs, some GMCs as well. You can bolt all of that stuff on and play with the number of leafs you use and it makes an excellent suspension. Put the rear above the springs and use a late model Dana 44 with 5 on 5 bolt pattern, more wheels to choose from. You can also use the later model front disc brakes, make sure to use the 72 ball joints, because the taper is different then the 67, also make sure to change to the disc / drum master cyclinder off of the 72 truck. Big block was a bolt in, make sure to locate the V-8 in the forward location to get the advantage of proper fan clearence and room for an electronic distributor if you elect to run one. Mine was a 454, 4 speed with a 3:73 posi, like the man said, they are a fun ride. Mine was a stepside, which I personally don't like as much as this fleetside and before it was all over I wacked the top. I didn't realise this truck was chopped, the 1" makes the difference, it looks good, mine was three and it totally destroyed the great lines of the vehicle! If you have a long bed anything, I'd say don't chop it, they look longer and again in my opinion, I don't like it.

I am trying to get my '70 Short Fleet done and need a front bed panel as well as a Passanger bed side.
