Bad Troubles become just a pain!!

OK heres what i did, I replaced the cap & it got rid of the miss(finall http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gify)But it still has a slight rap when you rev it!! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif.I'm going to readjust the valves one more time & change to oil &put in some 20-50W, see what happens.It driveable for sure so i'll make it thru the season.
I can't get the rap to stop by disconnecting a plug wire so maybe its a lifter or something!!Its not really that bad or a "solid" rap, more of a detonation type knock!!
Istill can't see anything wrong with the cap, even looking at it thru a Lope!!But what the Hey, It s working with a new one!!

Jim, Glad to hear you finally got some where with that before you started ripping it appart. Everyones first tendency is to get the wrenches out and start thrashing.
You still may have something simple on the noise thats still there. You know a good beatin may work, either it fixes it or you know what was wrong when it breaks.
