My intro

Decided to post a reply today so I thought I oughta introduce myself so you'd know who the hell I was. Live in Broken Arrow/Tulsa area. I know a few of the guys on here from Tulsa like Monkey. Have had old cars (pre-66) for daily drivers for the last five years. Didn't know shit about workin on cars prior to this. Been learnin every day since though! Got a 65 Falcon and a 49 Ford Tudor now.

Here's the job part. I handle a K9 for a police department. I write about 4 tickets a year and could give a shit how fast you drive, don't eat donuts, don't have a mustache, don't get my rocks off fuckin with people just cause I can, and I wasn't the kid that got picked on in school. Just thought I'd bring that up since I have learned over time what most of you guys do or where you work.

Welcome, what breed do you handle? I'm partial to german shepherds my self. Years ago there used to be a great wrecking yard (old stuff) outside of FT.Gibson. Dont remember the name but if you ask around at the local NAPA they could tell you.

Hmmmmm....weeeeellll, I don't consider a '65 Falcon "old", now then, a '49 Ford I do...probably becuz when I was playing' with cars, a '65 was "new"...guess it still is to me...even tho it's now 39 years old!

So, El, does that place you in the "youngster" category? Are you younger than 39 or have you been around longer than that?

A K9 handler is cool...but if you don't do donuts, does the dog?

I have a Bassett Hound named Elvis, I don't think he's dead though, sometimes it's hard to tell.

Thanks guys. The dogs a Malinois named Marco. He's kinda like a German shepherd only with shorter hair and a hella lot tougher (no hip problems). I've worked and own both. Never fed him a donut before. Sure he'd eat it! He does get a Sonic Junior Burger every Saturday night at the start of duty from the drive in.

I'm 30 so the falcon seems old to me! I'll get some pics up one of these days. The 49's gettin worked over in the geerage right now. Thanks again for the welcome.
