DONZIEEEEEEE!! may have found a rear window/roof section

remember how we've been lookin for a different rear window and corrosponding roof section to finish off the chop on the 50?? well i may have found just the one. it's a 47(?) Pontiac 4 door. it actually looks and measures out to be about the same as my 47 Chevy coupe. it has the general shape we are looing for and it is 3 inches shorter and 8 inches narrower than the LARGE stock back glass originaly in the 50 Chev sedan. it is pretty damn close to the size and shape of the early 50s Caddy limo rear glass we've been searching for.

the best part..... $20 and i can cut the rear of the roof off AND he has the glass for it too!!!

it'll be some work no matter what we do but i think this will looks sweeet once it's all done. here it is...

Where the hell is Donzie when good news like this is posted. I suspect his band is playing tonight and he will most likely be getting home late. He said at lunch today that he probably wouldn't be a breakfast tomorrow due to a GIG he had tonight.

Dozie, i can go get that window just about any time, Dave only lives on the other side of Charlotte, maybe 10 or 12 miles away. i'll prolly go get it in about a week. goin to Kris' folks place in Indiana today (mom's surprise 50th B-day party), next week i HAVE to put the head back on the Sunfire (damn late model cars http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif), and a week from today Dave and i are gonna go visit Levis Classic up in Traverse City. wish we had time to swing by Midland, Dave would LOVE to see Fab32's shop. maybe another weekend.

as for the engine, just let me know a da ahead of time and i will go borrow Studeboy's cherry picker. i had it here for 2 months just for that purpose and never got around to it and i just used it the other day again but i brought it back. anyway, it's no biggy to get it...
