Got a few extra bucks and now it's time to lower the back of the 56 f-100.
I was handed down some airbags my dad had on his truck for towing his boat.

Here's what I'm looking to do;
c-notch, or c-section frame (depending on how low I want to go in the end)

use leafs with airbags, & flip axle over springs
or 4 link with the airbags?

I'll have to raise the floor of the bed for many reasons (shock mounts, bag mounts, diff clearence) but that's not a problem. Making up my mind is.

Keep in mind it's a daily driver but will make some runs down the track. Traction could be an issue.

I´d go with the 4 link especially if you´re gonna race. I´ve never liked the thought of a single leaf spring with bags because I suppose that set up to be quite shaky. I´m a cheap ass so I used a 62 3 link in my 56 chevy. Works perfect!
Here´s a link poor mans 4 link (http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=UBB1&Number=365172&Forum=A ll_Forums&Words=2726&Match=Username&Searchpage=2&L imit=25&Old=allposts&Main=345101&Search=true#Post3 65172)

do doubt about it four link that thing. It is possible to get pretty darn low without cutting the bed up a bunch. You just have to sit back and study it for a while. The bags dont have to mount on top of the axel. Move it lower and give yourself some extra room.

These guys have already said it, but it sounds like you're going to be doing some work back there anyway so go ahead and upgrade the rear suspension as well - especially if you've got any kind of motor in it (which, if you run it down the track on occassion, you probably do). Otherwise you will wind up binding up the rear. Good luck...keep us posted.

Right now I get so much spring wrap. I need a kidney belt everytime I jump on it.

Thanks for the input. I already had my mind made up for the most part, just needed to set the hook http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
