tryin to empty what was left of the gas in my welding cylinder today so i could fill it before the weekend. welded some stuff he had tacked on the chassis then did the 2 1/2" chop on the rear window (the rest of the top was a 3 1/2" chop). i think the proportions turned out just right. and hell if they did'nt, so what. it's not my car! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

here it is tacked together out of the car...

after removing a half inch from the top and bottom of the rear window opening (for an inch total) i tacked the window frame in place...

Let's see something more challenging....how about Donzies Chev chop?...how's it coming? The last pic of it was from the front....I was wondering about maybe pancaking it to loose some of the roof crown.

don't you have a motor cycle to play with or something?? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

i covered Donzie's chop a LOOOOOONG time ago. PAY ATTENTION! still lookin for a different back window section cause the stock window is just too damn BIG! a local hot rodder has a possible donor car for the back roof and window section. he just told me about it tonight and i will go look at it next week some time.

now back to the topic at hand...

the inside view...

Kind of hard to tell in the pics, but it looks like good proportions. I like the back window being kept taller.

Hope the air line fron that die grinder on the rear wheel's not hooked to the compresser, might end up with a sectioned A as well http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

This is my '29 that I did years ago. Removed the T shaped vertical seam trim and welded things for a smooth look.

Clark

They are old Denmans I picked up from an old hotrodder never been used. They are 7.50 x 17's.

I think they may actually be truck tires.

07-30-2004, 12:41 PM
Levis...thanks. They have a tread pattern close to Goodyears. They are some cool tires!
