supposed to be 2 in california. one in north central
I-5 raceway (http://www.i-5raceway.com/)
and one in the 909
drag city (http://www.drag-city.com/)
dont know much about the I-5 track, but the banning track has been in 'development' for 5 years or so. they're the guys who 'commissioned' the surfers aa/fd repop from foster. there is more drama and speculation surrounding the developers than i care to go into....we'll see how the two fare.

Hey guys Here in Texas we have a buttload of tracks some are new some are old. I could list them all but it would take to much time. Also the tracks around where I live run year round.
One is under construction in Pierre South Dakota, NHRA, 1/4 mile. Earthwork is done, they are in litigation with some fuck that moved in from California that is fighting them.
Also, a group in Hot Springs South Dakota is working towards a 1/4 mile track. They have land bought and are in fundraising mode.

Man am I glad to see that new Drag Strips are being built. I hear of old ones occasionally that are being closed down and it always bums me out. Here in CT we lost Ct. Dragway back in the early 80's and there isn't a chance in hell that a track will ever be built again here. Real Estate is just too expensive and the locals would never allow it. The only possible way is if the Indian Tribes here build one on their reservations.

Got a new 1/8th about 20 miles south of Omaha on the Iowa side of the river.
Still got our old 1/4, about 70 miles west of town too...in the cornfields--IHRA track

New international dragstrip in Western Sydney, Australia. Opened early this year, full quarter, grandstands both sides. Big dollar venue thats really great.
Also pushing for one in Canberra, a lot of people invoved and has good support, several sites earmarked for the strip.
Cheers and beers
