60 olds 2dr hardtop

1960 Oldsmobile 2 door hardtop. California car. no rust except a couple small spots on the hood that came from Ohio.

kustom made taillights with 59 caddy lenses.

14" chrome mag wheels with radial thin white wall tires cut into wide whites.
lowered with blocks and cut coils.
62 394 engine completely stock. the original 371 developed low oil pressure issues so this motor was bought and put in it's place only to discover that the exhaust manifolds from the 62 would not clear the suspension in the 60 Olds and manifolds would not interchange between the two motors. sooo, the heads from the 371 were sent off for a once over by the machine shop and $300 later are sitting back in my garage on a shelf. that what this car needs in order to be going down the road again. swap the heads (so the 371 exhaust manifolds can be used) and hook everything back up. it was a dependable driver for several summers before the motor started losing oil pressure. trans is the stock automatic from 1960. you won't find a nicer body around here. this thing is NICE! hate to sell it but i'm laid off and i have too many projects. i need the money right now otherwise i'd just hold onto it so if your serious about owning this car don't wait around or i'm likely to change my mind.

FINALY got some more pics. the car is near Battle Creek Michigan at the moment. in a week (2 tops) it will go into the garage to get the heads replaced and everything put back together. if you buy it before then i'll take $4200 firm. after that it is $5500. it is being put back together by a certified mechanic and successful shop owner.

i recently discovered i do have most, if not all, of the trim (probably even have extra pieces too) if you wanted to keep all that junk (or sell it on Ebay). i do NOT have the rest of the front bumper. the front bumper is the worst part of the car in my opinion. replacements can be had i just have not yet wanted to pay the shipping costs. i will if i keep it much longer though.

the seats are nice. no rips or anything. needs a good vacuuming is all. carpet is crap. door panels and headliner are just old and dingy. the wires hangin under the dash are for an electric fuel pump that the car does NOT need. it will be disconnected when it gets put back together and the manual pump will be employed as intended from the factory.

what else can i say?? just ask if you have any questions or want to look at the car. it is NOT at my place (45 minutes away in fact) but i can arrange for you to look at it where it is if you would like. there is even a hoist if you want to get under it. you will NOT be disapointed. this car is SOLID! just needs some detailing and finishing or drive it as is. i've simply got too many cars and projects that are more interesting to me at this time. if it does'nt sell i'll be toolin around in it this summer and might just do some more work on it (which will bring the price up even higher). it would be rad with some copper colored candy lace, flake, flames and scallops over gloss black!!

here is the deal. the car is back at my house and most of the way back together. needs about a day or two of tinkering (hook up trans linkage, carb linkage, install radiator and related parts. hook wires back up, bleed brakes. yada yada) and she is back on the road.

i don't have time for the car and soon i won't have anywhere to keep it. my new job and my social life has me far from home.
