went over to jerry's tonight. he did a temporary fix on the shifter, got it fired up and took it for the first "official" ride around the block! man we were stoked! we had a blast! he still has a ways to go, finishing the wiring, installing the door latches, dash, gauges and windshield glass, headlights and a few other things but it's getting there, should be on the road next spring no problem. heres a couple pics from tonight, wtg jerry! mike

Hey Jerry,
Congrats on your first drive. The car looks great. Nothing gets you pumped like the first ride around the block. I remember my first road test like it was yesterday. I had my wife come out to the garage for the first drive out of the garage. After all she suported my car build from the start, I figured she should have the first ride. I had my daughter video the event. No windschield, no doors and only a hand brake. Out of the garage , down the drive and up the street with a roar. I didn't plan on going up the street, but I just couldn't help myself.
I can't wait to see it for real. Keep smileing.

Very cool, after the frist ride, you have all the incentive you need to get the rest of things done.

Jerry, That is fantastic and your car looks really cool! The way you talked before, I didn't expect to see it even go around the block this year. All those hours are paying off. You will be on the road for sure next year, can't wait. I've got to get Mike to take me over to check it out. Keith

Thanks all,Mike nice job on the posting. Like i said before i will get that down pack to. Keith come on over any time. It do's feel good to drive it and see it on the road. I have to take the radaitor off to size one up for the grill. I hat the thought of taking it off. With it there i can go for a ride anytime. But then i won't get any work done?????? Well got to go. Thanks for all the kind words guys. I or Mike will keep you posted. Jerry

Well like Mike said the shifter was fuck up. The guy who put it in put the brackets on the tranny up side down. (Jerry) So i turned them around today and have the shifting patern right now. Of course i had to take it out again to try it. Things went a lot better today. Thanks Mike for not telling everyone what i did. LOL Jerry
