In a new Nissan, if you unhook the digital odometer, does the computer store the miles so when it is hooked back up it shows the actual miles?
Anyone know? Anyone know a Nissan tech that they might could ask?
Thanks, JH

Yep, it does. Otherwise every time you unplugged the battery you'd get a brand-new car!

on some medium size (yellow) trucks you can remove the instrument cluster and trace the circuit for the speedo/odometer,then apply a small piece of electrical tape to block it.that's what i heard anyway, not that i would know anything about that sort of thing... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif

On a theft recovery - missing the instrument cluster.
Will the new speedo show zero miles or however many miles were on the truck? That's why I'm asking.
Thanks, JH
