View Full Version : GM generator wiring????
I've never run a generator on a car that it wasn't already there and I'm in the middle of wiring a RPU witha generator and was wondering if I'm doing it right. The Arm. on the gen goes to the arm. on the reg. Right? Same with the field? Right? Then I was gonna run the Bat. terminal on the regulator to the battery post on the starter. Does this sound OK or should I wire it differently.

sounds good to me.BTW don't forget to polarize your generator/regulator once you're done.use a jumper wire to touch the GEN and BAT terminals just long enough to see a spark.if you don't your gen will die-george
