This A is a good friend of ours..i posted pics of it a while ago in progress..well now it's on the track.
This was it's first time down the track.

300ci sbc, Hilborn inj on race fuel..best run that weekend was 6.18.. 1/8th mile.
That was with no tuning, just running it and getting used to the car..

Just a couple from the 'show'..
The C-dan is the cousin of our buddy with the A..it runs a Cady mill and a stick..

One of the coolest parts of watching/hearing these things run is most of them has 4 speed's!!
And..they knew how to shift 'em!

Thats it guys!!

Great pics, Damn it; I wish I went, I waffled back and forth about going and made the wrong choice.

Those were some great pictures. Thanks for sharing them.
I never get enough of the East Coast Drags especially when you have a lineup of Gassers like that.
If you have any more, post them.
Thanks, Keith

Right now i wish i took more shot's, but i didn't. There was honestly so much stuff there that you got lost in it all..
It got to the point that everywhere you turned, there was another kickass ride!!

I started to just spend more time really checking the cars out and not taking the time to take pics..
sorry man....

PakRat32, Fantastic pics. I really appreciate ya posting those too.

The Black Primered five/five is wicked and the flames on the Shoebox convert are gorgeous.

the first pic in the second post, the pair of like 51 or 52 chevies, they look kinda familiar, are they survivors, or clones?? i think i saw one of them, the E/G car, maybe, in Gasser Wars, but i think i remember that it was destroyed somehow...

Tag, Tommy has gone to that gig quite a few times..he wanted to go this year too but had to work til 7:00 pm..

He was the one that told me to bring my camera http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

As far as the two chevy's, i know the hard top on the right was a clone, i really don't know about the other one..

Haven't seen that many Willys in one place since I was a kid!
I think that yellow Stude is the same one that for sale in Rhinebeck 2 or 3 years ago. No engine, tranny or lettering, they wanted $8000 for it.
Shoulda bought it!

Went there with Don Ranks when he ran the Manarina Olds about '68 and was 13 years old. Was very cool, and saw Jimmy Oddy and Zakia cars, even lined them up together once. Like stock car racing but would like to do the drags sometime agian, the kid would not get bored like he does when I take him to the circle track.
