Hi. My name’s Ralph. I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. I’ve been lurking here for years, and finally decided to start posting a bit. I’m 50, and quit my job last year. Saying I’m “retired” makes me feel old, and I’m not. I built and sold a 37 Chevy pickup a few years ago, then bought a 40 Plymouth coupe that I still have. I’ve got a 64 Chevy pickup with a six and three-on-the-tree, and I’m in the midst of a huge rust repair job on a 57 Chevy wagon project I picked up last fall. I try to do all my own work on my stuff, and my success rate’s getting better. Is it possible to have too many cars? Like lots of other guys here, I’ve got a 28 Model A sedan that’s next in line. Hopefully I can add something to the conversations here, but I type waaay too slow to post a lot. Now to figure out this picture posting thing…….

Hey it worked! That's the driver's side rocker and floor I've cut out of the 57. I've welded it back in now, but no pictures yet.

Hi Al, thanks for the seriously late welcome! What made you fish my old post up from the depths? I've followed your exploits with your 48-53(can't remember) truck, by the way. Sold now isn't it? How's Neepawa? I usually get there for thew car show with the Lily Festival. I think I heard they're not doing that any more for lack of organisers. Sucks if it's true.

I did a search on "Manitoba" and your post came up. :)
The grey primer '48 Chevy pickup I had was sold back in Aug 2003. It went down to Kent Washington. I currently have the '27 Essex pickup in my avitar.
The Lily Fest show that the Yellowhead Road Runners host is still going well. This year was pretty much rained out, but we still had close to 50 cars. Hopefully next year has better weather.
