http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif I lost my set of keys for my '68 Galaxie, no problem, find the spare set, right? Wrong. So I come before you all and admit that I am an idiot.

Can a spare key be made by using the lock? The ignition key opens the door as well as operating the ignition. I am hoping someone out there can help me, I'll pay the going rate. Hook a brutha up. Please....

My guy charges 9 bucks if you bring him the lock. Same day if necessary. But too far away for you. Have a look around locally. It should be close to that price.

Whew, I had visions of big bucks being vacuumed out of my wallet or trying to find something on eGay.

You should be able to remove the door lock complete just by looking for the clip in the door jamb directly horozontal from the lock. It's a lift and pull clip that is about 1/8" by 1 1/2" right in the edge of the door.

Try a hammer...

a couple feet of wire and a big, well-insulated screwdriver will get you around in the meanwhile...

Or, you could get the key codes and have a new key made... That shit should be in the vehicle's paperwork...

Ha ha, that's funny, right next to my '27 T warranty card...

In the meantime I'll ride the scoot as I have been anyway.

Don't lose that warranty card, man... Those fucks aren't gonna replace it if you do...

Just hot-wire the fucking thing... People will think you're stealing the car and that will make you look "Ponyboy-tuff"...

Stay gold, man...

It will be my luck that I find the keys after I go through all the gyrations of getting the keys made, I should have thought of that before! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
