Had a good weekend choppin a shoebox, need some help

Had a friend call and request a little help givn his 50 ford a kickass chop. We chopped the front about 7 1/2 inches and the back a very slim 9 1/2 cut.
The front is looking great and the door posts are gonna be slanted , lookin good so far.
The back window is where I was hopin for aome help. I suppose we are gonna find out how good we are at metal workin. We cut back winder out whole, we cut at the drip rails ( about 1 inche away) and about 4 inches above the winow. I was hoping for some pics from anyone that has done a shoebox chop. Any pics would help.

Sounds like a very serious 'Slam" to me. What is it you need help with? Did you cut the entire roof skin off above the drip rails? Do you have photos of what you have done?

lay that sucka down, just make sure you do what you have to (even if it means moving the bottom of the rear window forward) to make sure it FLOWS and does'nt end up with a "hump" in the roof just before the rear window opening. thats one helluva chop so things might get a bit more complicated than you typical 4 inch chop but a little patience and ALOT of planning and thinking will go a long way... let see some pics...

P.S. in case you don't know, do NOT cut through the back window opening. you can not cut tempered glass (what the back window is made of) and, in my opinion, plexiglass is cheezy and looks cheap. we'll prolly run a back window from a different car (and the surounding sheetmetal) in Donzie's 50 Chevy.

Hey kustombuilder, some pics would sure be nice. If ya have any ideas or personal knowledge I sure would like to here about it. I can't make it over to help for a week or so, but I hear he out in shop tanight. I would like to have a clearer pic in my head (or even printed out) when we tackle that back window.


So any one out there have any pics of a bad ass shoebox with a bad ass chop?
