im looking at pricing for air bag kits... some have decent prices, others dont. also, i have a pretty good idea of what i need, nothing too fancy... just need it for better drivability on shitty streets.

has anyone pieced theirs together? is it worth it? and what are some of the pitfalls of piecing one together? looks pretty straightforward from what ive read.

my philosophy on this is, saving a couple hundred bucks isnt worth a whole lot of headaches.

thanks for any input

i still got the front end apart on my olds, kinda wondering the same thing.i was thinking about doing just bags in front, and 2 seperate air lines going to schrader valves,so i could pump it up at the gas station kinda deal.until i figure out all the valves and compressor and other crap that is...

interesting.. but it might become a bit of a pain in the ass stopping at a gas station just to fill up... although, you could use a cigarette lighter powered air pump when needed. true poor mans airbags!?

figured id check here first to see what others might have done before diving in.... money is a bit tight these days.

i'm a poor bastard too and i've done it both ways, pieceing kits together as apposed to buying a kit and i've found it is actualy cheaper to buy the complete kit. the ones i sell include all your fittings, wire, connectors, all the stuff you might forget about but it all ads up big time.

i posted a TECH thread ( a while ago) that i think is in the Tech-o-matic section on setting up your typical airride suspension. check it out and then get with me if you a=have any other questions.
