This is an awesome site and have already learned lots from all the chatter through the different threads. I'm into Hot Rodding just about every way....our 50 Ford (with a nice flathead too) keeps us busy, sometimes just keeping it running!!!! Been pinstriping for nearly 30 years and love to sling paint on anything that stands still long enough to lays coooool lines on.

Now if it was a fiberglass car maybe but I agree with that statement...loose those rims and stick with the Traditional styling, Nothing worse than mixing eras.

We are located in Muscatine....eastern edge near Davenport Only reason for the rims they are Weld Flames....since the car is named Flammable it was only cool to add such detail, the detail through out has flames all over everything. Dash, steering wheel, doors, seats, rear window, trunk....just about everwhere.
Rest assured....we do still have the red rims with some cool 4 bar spinners AND the skirts too!!!

Great job on the shoe box, including the wheels, and the web site too Jim. There are some who just can't understand anything but primer and rattle-can red. Besides that, its your car and no one should be telling you what to "lose".

I knew this thread would be a lot of fun......
Love all the different comments, and opinions.
If everyone was suppose to build a car a certain way or within certain guidelines they would all look alike and then the world would be a dull place to live.
I say, "do it in color....life is too short"!!!
But you ALL know "it isn't finished until it's PINSTRIPED"!!!

Hey Jim, Welcome!
Great work, I dig your stripin' and color combo's. Real nice tight work. Your website is great too. I think I know you from Letterville.
Anyway, this is a great place to be and post your stuff on the Friday Art Show.

Hey there! Nice to see an Iowan practicing the arts. Now maybe I won't have to travel to Nevada or California to get my car beautified someday.
I tried painting a straight line once, and I think Michael J. Fox could have done a better job http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif
