1,000 posts from Zonkola--time for a HAMB auction, baby. This auction will end at midnight HAMB server time Sunday, July 25th, so get those bids in soon! All the usual HAMB auction guidelines apply: The winner is announced and gets a PM from me, at which point he/she pays Ryan. Ryan notifies me of the payment once he gets it, and I ship the goods to the winner. Everybody wins.

This auction is for the Dean Batchelor book, "Dry Lakes and Drag Strips: The American Hot Rod", a pristine copy of Rodder's Journal #20, and a very slightly dented (blame the USPS, not me) Rodder's Journal poster. Yeah, it's a Hemi.

The Batchelor book has tons of great photos from the glory days of Hot Rodding. You wouldn't be able to pry this sucker from my sweaty mitts with a crowbar if I hadn't accidentally bought two of them--this is the reissue edition that has a slightly different title and cover art than the copy I already own.

Next up is issue #20 of the Rodder's Journal--the sold out subscriber cover version. This is one of my favorite issues featuring a couple of Ardun-powered deuces, an article on Ohio George Montgomery's Ford Cammer-powered Willy's gasser, and a feature on HAMBer Big Ric's nifty '40 coupe. Not to mention a 300mph flathead-powered Bonneville streamliner and a bunch of other tasty stuff. You feelin' me yet, dawg?

Rounding out the 1-2-3 punch is a Rodder's Journal poster depicting a pumped Hemi engine in all it's yellow and polished aluminum glory. Trust me, your garage wall will thank you for this one.

Bid high and bid often!
